About the Principal,
Brian D. Kuhn

With a Bachelor of Science degree in 'Alternative Energy Systems Engineering and Business' from the University of Massachusetts in 1977, and a successful career as a licensed professional real estate broker since 1984, Mr. Kuhn is uniquely qualified to lead DMS to address innovative issues pertaining to energy and real estate development such as the Climate Tempered Communities project, which he originally conceived in 1984.

As a licensed real estate broker in 6 states, Mr. Kuhn has been involved in the legal, development and sales aspects of over 7,500 properties, including commercial and residential land, condominiums, and subdivision projects. Clients have included builders, developers, financial institutions, the Resolution Trust Company, FDIC, Freddie Mac, and many more. Real estate efforts have ranged from site due diligence to permitting, and from complete marketing and on-site sales programs to land brokerage.

 His degree in solar engineering has served him well in the creation of the passively heated 'Climate Tempered Community' concept. As the National Solar Specialist for one of the world's largest manufacturer of water heaters, Mr. Kuhn taught the design and installation of solar systems to installation contractors and distributors across the United States. Other energy related activities include waste water heat recovery and off-peak thermal storage systems. Mr. Kuhn currently serves as the Chairman for Plymouth, Massachusetts's Energy Committee, and is the principal author of the town's 'Plymouth 2020' plan - a visionary plan to have all of Plymouth's municipal energy generated by sustainable energy sources by the year 2020.
